FAQ

How do I sign up?
You can register online at MindBody. However, there is no need to preregister for class.  Arrive 15 minutes before class to complete a waiver and see the studio.

What do I wear?

Wear comfortable, breathable clothing: tank tops, sports bra, yoga shorts or running shorts are ideal. Avoid cotton tees, long sleeve shirts, and sweats.

What do I bring?

A yoga mat, large towel, and bottle of water. We also rent mats for $3 and towels for $1 and sell water for $2. Please do not bring your cell phone, wallet, purse, etc. into the hot room. There are cubbies in the lobby and changing rooms to store your personal belongings. If you are a medical professional on call, please alert the instructor before class.

What if I am late? What if I need to leave early? Can I leave the hot room?

Each class begins promptly on time. The doors to the studio are locked when class begins for the safety and security of our members. Unfortunately, if you are late, you will miss class. Each class is 90 minutes. We suggest you select a class time when you can stay to practice the entire duration. Practicing the 26 & 2 Hot Yoga series is like taking a prescription: if you change it, take something out, or stop early, it will not have the same effect.

While, we encourage all students to stay in the yoga room for the entire 90 minutes, you do not need permission to leave the room. We suggest sitting down and taking as many breaks as you need rather than leaving the hot room because moving suddenly between the high heat and the cool lobby actually puts stress on your body. If you absolutely must leave the room, make sure the teacher knows you’ve left and come back as quickly as possible.

What should I eat/drink before/during/after class?

Come to class on an empty stomach. Most people find they need to allow 2 hours between eating and taking class. Please come to class well-hydrated. You need to drink a lot of water throughout the day to ensure you’re properly hydrated for class (half your body weight in ounces). Once class begins, hold off on drinking water until “party time” to allow your body to heat up. It is just as important to continue to hydrate after class as before, so we sell both Coconut Water for $3 and Ultima packets for $1.

How often should I practice?
As often as you can. We suggest at least 2-3 times a week. The more often you practice, the quicker you will see results. It may take a few classes for your body to get acclimated to exercising in a heated environment. We encourage new students to practice 10 times in 10 days.

Can I practice with an injury?
Yes!  Hot Yoga helps heal old injuries and prevent new ones. The heat is therapeutic for your muscles, joints and tissue. We ask students to alert the front desk so we can make a note in your file and notify the instructor so he/she can help guide you during class. The general guide when practicing with an injury is: take it easy and listen to your body.

What are your prices?
Start with the First Time Intro Special – it’s an entire month of unlimited yoga for only $49.  We then offer a variety of packages to fit your individual needs.
